Job Training for Beaver County, Inc.’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program reimburses the employer 50% of a new-hire’s hourly wage to offset the cost of supervising and training the new employee to perform the essential job functions.
The training time is based on both the skill level of the position and the job candidate’s current skill level. The employer maintains control over all hiring decisions. Our staff works with you to design a customized training plan. You receive a direct reimbursement for 50% of the trainee’s hourly wage.
Incumbent Worker Training
Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) is designed to assist an employer or group of employers to retain a skilled workforce and/or avert layoffs. IWT can be used to:
- Help avert potential layoffs of employees.
- Increase the skill level of employees so they can advance within the company and create backfill opportunities for new-hires.
- IWT reimburses the employer 50% – 90% of the training cost based on the size of the workforce.
